How to get great legs
Summer is on its way and, ladies, you know what that means. It's time to ditch those tights and get those luscious, lovely legs on display. The problem is of course after months of cold weather, central heating and wearing layers are legs are looking decidedly not lovely or luscious. But worry not! There's still plenty of time to get your legs looking summer ready!
Here are our top tips:
Get rid of unwanted hair
There's nothing sexy about stubbly or hairy legs so your first step should be to get rid of any unwanted hair. Shaving is the easiest solution but stubble can grow back quite quickly. Waxing will give you a smoother feel for longer but, be warned, it is painful! Hair removal creams are a good alternative how be sure to do a skin test before hand as some creams may cause rashes or result in unpleasant reactions.
Moisturise
During the winter months skin can become dry and flaky. If you've not been moisturising your legs up to now then now is the time to start. Apply a good moisturiser after you shower. Rubbing moisturiser into your legs using circular motion will also stimulate your blood flow and can help to reduce cellulite. Using a body brush on your legs will have the same effect and is also great for exfoliating.
Tan
Having a light tan can help your legs look slimmer and disguise a multitude of sins. If you don't tan naturally and you'd rather avoid too much sun (clever move!) try a false tan. Fake tans have come on leaps and bounds in recent years. Many have no scent (or at least no awful industrial scent as used to be the case) and they are available in a variety of shades. If you don't trust yourself to apply your own tan have a spray tan instead. They're not too expensive and can look really natural.
Shape up
Nothing says sexy like shapely legs so get ready for summer by toning up your pins. Squats are the best exercise for toned legs and bottom. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, facing forward and squat (as if you're going to sit down). Try to do three sets of ten a day and eventually build up to more.
Dress for your legs
What you wear on your feet can have a huge affect on how your legs look. If you have quite short legs, for example, wearing any shoes that have a strap around the ankle will make your legs look even shorter. Heel are great for elongating legs whereas ankle straps DO work when it comes to hiding very skinny ankles.
