Looking for a facial that's effective? The key to beating the signs of ageing is to pick a treatment that suits your age and skin type. Four new treatments are on offer at Eden Spa in Nottinghamshire, to combat fine lines up to deep-set wrinkles.

The new Thalgo Collagen Radiance Facial, £70, is designed for the first signs of wrinkles. Beginning with a cleansing ritual adapted to your skin type, an intense exfoliation to smooth the skin and allow optimum penetration for the active ingredients, a specialised anti-ageing massage lifts the features and helps the skin drink in the Marine Collagen serum.

The next step up is the Thalgo Hyaluronic Smooth and Fill Facial, £75. It also features a cleansing ritual followed by targeted strips infused with Hyaluronic Acid Microspheres, applied to wrinkles and areas of concern to plump out lines and reduce appearance, while a Hyaluronic Mask is applied to the rest of the face to smooth the skin, leaving your complexion glowing.

Ladies aged 45 plus may like the Thalgo Silicium Super-Lift Facial, £80.. An expert anti-ageing massage lifts the features, before a super-lifting mask is applied to fill deeper wrinkles and lift and contour the face and neck.

Or for something different, try the spa find lava shell therma facial, £68. The facial includes a triple Lava lift facial massage, soothing heat from the shells, a mineral mud mask and a scalp massage.
